The address for Towne Park is 100 Jefferson St., Algonquin, 60102. From the West: Take Randall Road to Algonquin Road (Rt. 62) in Algonquin. Turn East on Algonquin Road and travel about 2.5 miles to Main St. (stop light). Turn right (South) on Main St. travel about .5 miles to Jefferson St. Turn Right (West). Towne Park will be straight ahead. From the East: Take Route 25 to Algonquin Road in Algonquin. Turn West on Algonquin Road and travel 1.5 miles to Main St. (stop Light). Turn left (South)on Main St. to Jefferson Street. Turn right on Jefferson Street. Towne Park will be straight ahead.
This year Founders’ Days will have Free shuttle bus service for the festival on Friday and Saturday night beginning at 5:00 p.m. and running 1 hour after the park closes. The bus service is sponsored by the Algonquin Rotary Club and Algonquin Township. Pick up and drop-off will occur approximately every 15 minutes from St. Margaret Mary’s School to Towne Park. The Algonquin Rotary Club performs various community service functions in Algonquin throughout the year, and this bus service is but one way that the Club gives back to the community. Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service and help build good will and peace in the world.
Sunday, July 31 for Fireworks
Parking will be available at Joe Caputo’s and Sons on the west-side of Algonquin and Butera on the east-side of Algonquin for the Fireworks. Shuttle buses will run approximately every 15 minutes beginning at 7:00 p.m. until fireworks begin. Shuttle buses will run for one hour after the conclusion of the Fireworks show. Shuttle bus services are provided by Durham School Services. Durham will be collecting school supplies at Market & Bazaar and on the buses for District 300’s Stuff the bus.
